Soccer Knee Injuries

  • A posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) = back of the knee
  • An anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) = front of the knee
  • Lateral collateral ligament (LCL) = Not in the knee
  • Medial collateral ligament (MCL) =  On the knee

It is also the mild traumatic brain injury which can be; by the sudden impact at the back of the head.

Prevention Of Most Common Soccer Injuries

Several injuries on the field of soccer are the direct result of overtraining, poor conditioning, or overuse. Also, it can be the result of the absence of the proper training. Hence to reduce the pain, one must follow the following steps:

  • At least 30 mins warmup before the play, it can be the result of special attention to groin, hamstrings, hip, Achilles tendons, or the quadriceps.
  • Use protective gear, shin guards, mouth guards, knee, elbow pads. Also, ensure the proper maintenance and size.
  • Check the field for anything that can cause injury, including puddles, broken glass, debris, and others. 
  • Avoid using in inclement weather or immediately after the rain.
  • Take time to heal yourself.
